On August 17, according to a research report by the Agricultural Export Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, China's consumption of organic products is increasing by 14% every year, and this index ranks first in the world.
Organic products refer to agricultural products and foods that do not use synthetic pesticides, synthetic mineral fertilizers, growth regulators, artificial food additives, or rarely use these substances.
The research report pointed out that the world's largest importers of organic products in 2019 were Europe (72%), the United States (15%) and China (12%).
According to the research report, the increase in the production of organic products in Russia can partly meet China's growing demand.
According to data from the Agricultural Export Development Center, in 2019, the world's consumption of organic products was close to 120 billion U.S. dollars, and the growth rate of consumption of organic products was 4.5 times the growth rate of overall food consumption. The Agricultural Export Development Center believes that by 2030, the consumption of organic products will increase by 1.5 times, and the amount will exceed 300 billion U.S. dollars.
